What to do on a holiday on your own?

i am an 18 year old girl and i am going away 2 university in September. i have never been away on my own before but i feel that it would b good 2 have a holiday on my own to Bognor Regis which is a couple of miles away from Chichester where my university will be. i just want 2 get a scope of the place and get a little used 2 it. i am planning on going camping in a tent on my own in a campsite. i would just like some advice on what i should do 2 stop myself getting bored and lonely on my own, especially in the evenings! thankyou :)
